Privacy Policy

Pluddy (“Pluddy”, “we”, “us”) explains here how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Pluddy mobile app.

What we collect

  • Account info (if you sign in): email address and authentication identifiers provided by Apple/Google sign-in.
  • Plant photos / camera input: photos you take or choose to upload for scanning, saving, or syncing.
  • Plant library data: saved plants, care schedules, reminders, journal entries/notes, and related settings you choose to store.
  • Purchases: subscription status and entitlements (Premium / scan packs) via Apple In-App Purchase managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive payment card details.
  • Approximate location (optional feature): if you grant permission, the app may use your device location to show a readable location name (reverse-geocoding) for calendar/context features.
  • Diagnostics: basic technical logs to help troubleshoot bugs and improve stability.

How we use data

  • Provide app features: identify plants, generate care guidance, save your plant library, and sync across devices when enabled.
  • Purchases: verify subscription status and unlock premium features.
  • Diagnostics: improve reliability and fix issues.

Sharing & third parties

Pluddy uses trusted providers to run core functionality:

  • Firebase (Auth / Firestore / Storage): accounts, syncing, and storing plant photos/data you choose to save.
  • RevenueCat: manages Apple In-App Purchase entitlements and subscription status.
  • Apple In-App Purchase: processes payments.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with data brokers. We do not share data for third-party advertising.

Tracking

Pluddy does not use data for “tracking” as defined by Apple (no cross-app tracking and no data broker sharing).

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the app and for legitimate business purposes such as security and troubleshooting. You can remove data by deleting content in the app and/or deleting your account.

Your choices & account deletion

  • You may access and update your account information within the app.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data by using the in-app account deletion option (if available) or by contacting us at the email below.
